The humble bagel has come a long way from the basic cream cheese filling, and Frankly Bagels is top of the game. One of our favourite spots in Prospect for a quick and easy bite that always hits the spot, start by choosing your bagel – plain, poppy seed, sesame seed, or everything, then take your time to find your flavour combo, with nine choices plus rotating specials making this decision particularly difficult.

Bottega Bandito

With a warm and inviting atmosphere, Bottega Bandito serves up a whole host of wholesome Italian dishes for a hearty brunch from 7 am to 3 pm, but, it's the sandos that have people lining up come 10.30 am.

We highly recommend working through the whole sandwich menu, starting with the pesto chicken with tomato nduja and crispy pancetta. 

Are you looking to take it up a notch? Book in for the Boozy Brunch. Tuck into seasonal sweet and salty brunch favourites alongside unlimited glasses of your preferred beverages including bellinis, mimosas, G&Ts and tap beer. Chin chin!

Cotto Cafe

Good food and great coffee are the order of the day at Cotto Cafe, sitting pretty on Prospect Road. Providing a spot for those serious about their caffeine, the drinks menu covers everything from a simple cappuccino to cold brew, pour-over and nitro coffee brewed and chilled for over 24 hours to draw out distinct flavour profiles.

For food, there is a dish for just about any palate, with savoury classics like the Cotto Breaky Burger, eggs and bacon and nourishing bowls on hand to fuel the day ahead. Those with a sweet tooth will love the banana and ricotta pancakes with whipped mascarpone and butterscotch peanut butter sauce.

Muratti Cakes & Gateaux

Coffee and cake, anyone? Muratti is where a delectable assortment of cakes, tarts and croquembouches attract sugar addicts from all over Adelaide. Gorgeous creations glisten invitingly from shiny glass displays, with rows of vibrant-hued petit gateaux in delicate flavours like berry apple and chocolate cherry.

With cakes that are almost too pretty to eat, Muratti showcases the best of European confectionary via fine layers of dacquoise, praline, mousse, sable breton and compote, garnished with everything from chocolate shards to whole macarons, all served best by the slice and with a warm cup of coffee, of course!

Fratelli Italian Deli

Next time you crave an Italian roll over a sando, head straight to Fratelli Italian Deli on Prospect Road. This family-run deli is all about Italian flavours and hearty rolls inspired by the way they do things in New Jersey, and it's helping them stand out in the sando-strong scene of Adelaide.

Open since late October last year, Prospect locals are flocking to Fratelli for their fix, with the sandwich standout one even Joey Tribbiani would approve of - the 'How Ya Doin'' comes with crumbed chicken cutlets, vodka sauce, stracciatella and basil pesto. Delicious!

Mekko Market & Cafe 

Mekko Market & Cafe offers a delightful fusion of a light-filled café experience and a curated preloved fashion market. Anchovy Bandit

Anchovy Bandit opened in Prospect in 2018 and this once-small pizza and pasta bar has grown bigger and better with each expansion. Booth seating and warm design bring a sense of nostalgia to the venue, and it is the kind of place where family and friends will mingle for hours over a bottle of red or an expertly prepared cocktail.

Named after a Quentin Tarantino screenplay - the Italian restaurant does sit beneath a cinema after all - guests can dine in on the chef’s selection or opt for small bites and larger meals from the a la carte menu. Either way, this is a Prospect restaurant you won’t want to miss!

Rosemont Hall

Following a devastating fire that saw this local favourite shut down for over 2 years, Rosemont Hall is open again, thriving and providing one of the best nights out in Prospect!

The Art Deco hall provides a space for family get-togethers, casual catch-ups or an intimate date night, with seating and dining options to suit you.

Whether you pop in for a casual drink and fresh noodle salad from Sunny's Shop in the laneway or stay for dinner dim sum style from on-site Cantonese restaurant Mr Chan inside the hall, the vibe is big on flavour, fun and fuss-free dining.

Meze Mazi

Are you craving inspired Greek cuisine in Prospect tonight? Look no further than Meze Mazi. Known for their authentic cuisine and relaxed atmosphere, they are a go-to for mouthwatering Mediterranean.

Owner Andrew Papadakis moved to Australia in 2013 hoping to share a piece of Greek culture and its strong ethos of food and family. Serving up lovingly crafted family recipes, their menu favourites include chargrilled halloumi, octopus, mousaka and meat platters.

When dining with a group, go big with the Meza Mazi banquet. Allow the team to feed you and your parea (close ones) with dips, pita, fritters, meat skewers and salads.

Offering an unbeatable mix of modern interiors, friendly service and delicious, modern Asian cuisine, we love KOYO for a memorable meal with friends. 

Inspired by coal-fire-style dining from Japan, start your meal with oysters, wagyu tartare and small plates of tempura broccolini and gyoza. For mains, meat skewers and plates of chicken, salmon fillet and pipis will delight the fussiest of foodies.
