Dinner With Tony Tan at Supernormal
Legendary food writer and chef Tony Tan will grace Brisbane with a delicious foodie event that is not to be missed this month in Brisbane.
Celebrating the launch of his new cookbook, Tony Tan’s Cooking Class, this one-night-only pop-up event will host Tony tableside in a Q&A format, whilst Supernormal executive chef Jason Barratt and his team prepare a four-course menu of dishes from the cookbook.

PATRON X MAYA Mexican Moonlight Takeover Event

Shake off the winter blues with a free outdoor fitness program that will get your blood pumping!
South Bank is partnering with Goodlife Health Clubs to bring 12 classes per week that suit a range of abilities.
The series kicks off with a launch event on Saturday 5th October from 7am to 11:30am with freebies, coffee, a smoothie cart and more.

What’s on in Brisbane This Month - Art & Culture
New Light: Photography Now + Then
Arriving at the Museum of Brisbane in August, New Light: Photography Now + Then offers a curation of past and present photography from the museum’s most prolific archive, the Elliott Collection.
Catapulting the past perspectives into present day, are images from local photographers and image makers, offering a juxtaposition that will spark wonder and amazement at the change our city has seen.
Sitchu Tip: The Elliott Collection showcases the work of an amateur photographer by the name of Alfred Henrie Elliott, whose black and white photography was found preserved in cedar cigar boxes under a Red Hill home in 1983.

Discovering Ancient Egypt
Step back in time at the Queensland Museum this month and explore mysteries, art and rituals from ancient times. The Discovering Ancient Egypt exhibition has just arrived from the Dutch National Museum of Antiquities and offers a peek into the culture, daily life and beliefs practised in ancient Egypt.
Explore 3D light projections of the Temple of Taffeh, sculptures, Book of the Dead scrolls, jewellery, artwork and so much more.

Titanic: The Human Story

A sharp new comedy and commentary is in session at La Boite this month, written by US playwright Dipika Guha, and directed by Mina Morita. Making its Australian debut, Yoga Play follows Joan, the new CEO hire at an athleisurewear brand called Jojomon.
