What's On This Weekend in Brisbane: Sitchu's Top Picks

Social season is well and truly here. Shows, festivals and events are lighting up our calendar, and we hope you're ready for it. Christmas events have started to roll out, and there are brand-new exhibitions to explore at the Museum.

We've also scored two new bars at Howard Smith Wharves this month, so cosy up with a drink and enjoy the moody ambience of the city's hottest new watering holes.

Prosecco & Pilates: 90s Edition

Brisbane’s favourite pilates instructor is bringing you another fun, FIT(ish) event this month with her latest Prosecco & Pilates event – this time set to an iconic soundtrack of nineties hits! 

Think Spice Girls, B*Witched and Shania Twain blasting in the background while you sweat your way through a full-body pilates workout. Phoebe’s signature style will have you in fits of giggles whilst you’re getting your burn on… it hardly feels like working out. Kinda.

PATRON X MAYA Mexican Moonlight Takeover Event

Dance under the Moonlight this month, with MAYA’s brand new summer event in partnership with Patron el Alto. Available exclusively at MAYA, you can sample this masterfully aged, premium tequila for the first time in Australia.

Aussie sister DJ duo KINDER will be in session for the debut event, after touring with artists like Marshmello and Elderbrook. Hit the dancefloor as they combine their primal beats with deep lyrical themes to deliver absolute vibes on this rooftop oasis.

Adore Beauty is giving away over $30,000 worth of products with their final scavenger hunt of the year this week!

After a tour around the nation and back-to-back seasons at The Grand Electric in Surry Hills, Blanc de Blanc is set to dazzle audiences this month in Brisbane at the West End Electric!

You’ll feel as if you’ve arrived at one of Gatsby’s famous parties when you step through the doors, with the show bringing its signature hedonistic and glamorous energy to the stage. Expect astonishing aerial work, risque humour, vintage French flair and iconic dance numbers – like all Strut n Fret productions, this show is not to be missed!

The Enchanted Garden returns to bring pure magic to the magical Roma Street Gardens. The Discovering Ancient Egypt exhibition has just arrived from the Dutch National Museum of Antiquities and offers a peek into the culture, daily life and beliefs practised in ancient Egypt.

Explore 3D light projections of the Temple of Taffeh, sculptures, Book of the Dead scrolls, jewellery, artwork and so much more.
