Following an epic debut in 2023, the Adelaide Latin Festival returns this September for a weekend of high-energy celebrations synonymous with Latin culture. 

Strap on your dancing shoes and wear your stretchy pants, because you'll be dancing to live music, enjoying mouthwatering Latin cuisine and getting swept up in the party within the grounds of Adelaide Gaol. The event promises to delight, with a fabulous lineup of entertainment, food and culture.

EDEN

EDEN by flora&faunavisions

Due to popular demand, the magic of Illuminate has been extended with the beauty of nature in EDEN, an interactive event highlighting the vibrant world around us. Created by Berlin-based studio flora&faunavisions, this exhibit blends art and nature, revealing playful and hopeful aspects of our environment.

Spanning 150 square meters of LED screens, EDEN invites you to explore a digital garden where your actions can spark growth and transformation.

In line with EDEN, the restaurant team at Aurora have created a brand new menu at The Light Room Bar to enjoy during your visit, and a special SALA exhibition at the Light Room Gallery makes this Adelaide-exclusive event perfect for the whole family, sparking curiosity, joy, and creativity.

The story we all know and love is returning to Adelaide, sexier than ever! The iconic love story of Sandy and Danny and their friends at Rydell High will take over the stage at Adelaide Festival Centre in a show that promises fun, frivolity and an epic soundtrack with Grease, The Musical.

With an impressive cast including Paulini as Teen Angel and Patti Newton as Miss Lynch, get ready to head back to toe-tapping '50s in this joy-inducing production.

Adelaide's hottest show (literally) is on for one night only in September. INFERNO is a burlesque, cabaret and fire show that showcases some of the most talented artists in South Australia. This three-hour experience is hot, steamy and full of excitement as you watch fire spin, aerial performers dangle from mid-air, and a flurry of movement unfold.

South Australian Museum

20 Years of Australian Geographic Nature Photographer of the Year

The Australian Geographic Nature Photographer of the Year awards have been around for 20 years, and you can head to the South Australian Museum to celebrate!

This museum has produced the exhibition and competition since 2009, growing increasingly popular each year, and is now recognised on the international photography scene. This particular edition features all of the winning photographs from the past 20 years, and it's not one that you'll want to miss.

Lumary City to Bay

Lumary City to Bay

An event that feels good for more than one reason, the Lumary City to Bay Fun Run takes place on Sunday, September 15th. Whether you sign up for a half marathon, a 6 or 12-km run or a 3-km walk, every step counts in raising money for the South Australian athletics community 

Register online, collect your bib ahead of time, lace up your sneakers and hit the pavement, with the finish line at Colley Terrace in Glenelg a welcome sight as you complete your run by the sea!

Every first Saturday of the month you can find a selection of artisan stallholders in the mix, selling hand-crafted furniture, candles, jewellery, ceramics and more.

Have you heard the news? A flavour-packed foodie journey takes place every Thursday evening at Adelaide's SkyCity - and you're invited! Running until mid-December, this four-course progressive dinner takes diners through four premium participating restaurants in the complex, complete with drink pairings.

While the menu is subject to change, expect your experience to begin with champagne and small, fresh fusion bites at Madame Hanoi followed by rustic entrees inspired by modern Australian dining at The Kitchen. For mains, it's all about pizza and pasta at iTL, and your evening will come to a dazzling finish with dessert and city views at Sol Rooftop.

A gin expert will welcome you with a tasty gin and tonic, before a tour of the grounds with a quick history lesson. You'll get a BTS look at how the gin is made, followed by a detailed tasting and a goodie bag of Never Never treats.

For a special feast, opt for the 4-course  banquet to try a bit of everything, or order as you go, with premium South Australia oyster shooters with fresh wasabi, ling fish bao and mussels steamed in Bia Hanoi.

The good times don't stop there, with drink specials like $25 beer buckets and $12.50 lemon lychee spritz bound to keep the good times rolling.

The morning begins with a masterclass in the art of sabrage, the refined and ceremonial act of opening a champagne bottle with a saber. You may be lucky enough to try it yourself under watchful guidance!

Enjoy a glass of sparkling as you assemble a floral bunch to take home, with natives from the surrounding Adelaide Hills at your disposal. From here, it's time to relax a little more with a cocktail-style brunch of roaming canapés curated by Head Chef Jamie Carter. Bliss!

Things have taken an elevated turn, with the introduction of new Head Chef John Simpson-Clements, formerly of Icarus, who brings wine-bar style food (both large and small plates) perfect for sharing to Bowden Cellars, accompanied by a glass of wine from local small batch winemakers.

Whether you are popping in for a feed pre-footy, enjoying a free Friday night tasting, or staying a little longer for lunch, it's always a good time here.

Arkhé and Friends are hosting a year-long series of world-class chef collaborations and this month, Sydney-based Dan Hong will take over the arkhé kitchen on the 19th of September.
