Adelaide Latin Festival

2024 Adelaide Latin Festival

Following an epic debut in 2023, the Adelaide Latin Festival returns this September for a weekend of high-energy celebrations synonymous with Latin culture. 

Strap on your dancing shoes and wear your stretchy pants, because you'll be dancing to live music, enjoying mouthwatering Latin cuisine and getting swept up in the party within the grounds of Adelaide Gaol. The event promises to delight, with a fabulous lineup of entertainment, food and culture.

Empyre Fire Festival

Empyre Fire Festival

Heat things up this weekend with a free fire festival in Adelaide, Empyre. Head down to Victoria Square to immerse yourself in fire shows and installations, pyrotechnics, music, workshops, coffee, food, kids entertainment and more! This is the biggest fire show in Australia, with performers from across the country showcasing their talent.

Oyster Soiree at The Kitchen

The Kitchen in SkyCity Adelaide is hosting an elaborate Oyster Soiree throughout the month of September. The Kitchen's menu will see an array of limited-edition oyster dishes added to its menu, including a trio of entrees: a crispy oyster bao, pickled oyster crostini, and smoked oyster mousse-filled puri. You will also be able to feast your eyes (and your stomach) upon Oyster linguine, an oyster martini from the bar, or even an oyster shot with Herradura Tequila. There will also be pure shucked oysters ready to order, as well as shucked oysters with a range of toppings available to pick from if you prefer slurping your oysters with a little something extra to soften the saltiness.

Seafood Social at Madame Hanoi

SkyCity's Madame Hanoi is bringing a Seafood Social to Adelaide this month, with a special menu showcasing fresh and innovative seafood dishes inspired by Vietnamese cuisine.

For a special feast, opt for the 4-course  banquet, or choose to order as you go, with premium South Australia oyster shooters with fresh wasabi, ling fish bao and mussels steamed in Bia Hanoi.

There will also be drink specials like $25 beer buckets and $12.50 lemon lychee spritzes bound to keep the good times rolling.

Created by Berlin-based studio flora&faunavisions, this exhibit blends art and nature, revealing playful and hopeful aspects of our environment.

Spanning 150 square meters of LED screens, EDEN invites you to explore a digital garden where your actions can spark growth and transformation.

In line with EDEN, the restaurant team at Aurora have created a brand new menu at The Light Room Bar to enjoy during your visit, and a special SALA exhibition at the Light Room Gallery makes this Adelaide-exclusive event perfect for the whole family, sparking curiosity, joy, and creativity.

Umbrella Lights at Marina Pier

A bright winter awaits at Glenelg's Marina Pier with the return of Umbrella Lights, one of the best family-friendly events in Adelaide! Running until the end of September, this annual event features a gorgeous light installation of 14 umbrella-shaped displays.

Walk through the cool white frames and glowing blue lights, and stop at participating venues along the pier for amazing food and drink offers. It's a fabulous way to get outdoors and embrace a cosy winter.

Consider yourself a lover of meat and wine? You'll feel as though you've entered heaven from the moment you step foot inside of Coal Cellar and Grill, who has brought back its winter food and wine series for its 6th year. 

Each month offers a theme of hearty, comforting and curated dishes. Throughout July, you'll feast on a chargrilled and wine pairing menu featuring Tomahawk & Torbreck, and in August, be delighted by Ribs & Rockford. These limited time additions to the a la carte menu are a must try before the season turns over into spring.

Patritti's is hosting Fridays and Sundays at their Cellar II, and both days are filled with delightful wines, food and entertainment. On Fridays, there's an abundance of rotating food trucks for you to pick your street food dinner vibe, as well as live music from local artists for you to enjoy while you sip on Patritti's selection of wines. The same goes for Sunday - it's the perfect end-of-week reset that you need before starting it all over again. Who knows, you may even be back for round two the weekend after!
