While You Were Sleeping

While You Were Sleeping (1995)

We're calling it. This under-the-radar '90s Sandra Bullock rom-com is one of the best Christmas movies of all time. Often left out of the holiday conversation, this one is actually perfect for the lonely season.

Having been forced to work over Christmas, Lucy (played by Bullock at her slightly hapless, most endearing best), a token collector, saves a passenger Peter's life. She is mistaken for his fiancée by his family and while Peter is in a coma, things complicate as Lucy begins to fall in love with his brother. Trust us, you'll also fall a little love with Bill Pullman after watching this.

Love Actually

Love Actually (2003)

We deny anyone unable to shed a tear as Emma Thomspson unwittingly tears open that  present. We’re welling up at just the thought of it.

A Very Murray Christmas

A Very Murray Christmas

When Bill Murray is forced to present his live holiday special without the help of special guests – they’ve all been snowed in – the producers are worried it will be a complete disaster. But with the help of a few last-minute drop-ins from the likes of George Clooney, Chris Rock, Miley Cyrus and The Muppets, plus a few festive sing songs, the show is a huge success.
