Vogue American Express Fashion’s Night Out: The Best Events, Runway Shows & Activations to Attend in Sydney

We’ve partnered with American Express to curate the must-visit events at this year’s Vogue American Express Fashion’s Night Out, an epic festival supporting Sydney’s fashion industry. 

It’s that time of year again! In partnership with American Express, Vogue are ready to launch their annual sartorial event once again in Sydney. The fashion and retail industry’s biggest night out of the year is back and bolder than ever, with Vogue American Express Fashion’s Night Out bringing the fun and glamour with one special night of in-person action after two years of virtual events.

Vogue American Express Fashion’s Night Out’s epic festival will celebrate the best in shopping, fashion, and beauty with over 600 retailers getting involved in the festivities and an enviable line-up of events you’ll want to add to your calendar. Over and above the fun and glamour of this popular annual event, American Express and Vogue are coming together to support Australian fashion brands by driving potential customers back towards CBD stores and encouraging them to shop up a storm. Featuring exclusive shopping offers, events and masterclasses, this iconic fashion festival boasts a series of events and a grand, shoppable runway showcasing the hottest new looks this season.

To help you stack your calendar with the best fashion events in Sydney CBD, we’ve curated the ultimate event guide to Vogue American Express Fashion’s Night Out.

Vogue American Express Fashion’s Night Out: On-Stage

From midday on Thursday 20^th October, some of fashion’s biggest names will be taking to the stage for live performances, fashion and styling Q&As as well as seminars which will help to answer all your questions about the latest looks. Music lovers will want to be there at 12pm when the fashion extravaganza gets underway to catch a performance from KLP, one of our favourite Aussie artists or, if you’re heading in after work, get ready to boogie with a DJ set starting from 5pm. 

Vogue American Express Fashion’s Night Out: CBD Takeover

Fashion is all about making a statement and that’s exactly what Vogue American Express Fashion Night Out will be doing on Thursday 20^th October. For one night – and one night only! – the Sydney CBD will come alive with pumping tunes, flashing lights and fantastic fashion for a ‘90s block party. In collaboration with the City of Sydney, this free event will stretch from the Pitt Street Mall, through to the neighbouring Castlereagh, Market and George Street precincts. From 12pm to 9pm, you’ll be treated to fashion shows, in-store activations and special offers from some of our favourite brands, live music, Q&As from fashion experts including Kathryn Eismann star of Undressed and Vogue's very own Jessica Montague who will be taking to the stage to discuss dressing for success. 

While you’re in the mall, make sure you visit the AMEX Kiosk, take a picture at their photo moment wall and pick up a complimentary donut to snack on while you learn more about specific in-store activations or Card Member offers.

Vogue American Express Fashion’s Night Out: Live Runways

As you’d expect from fashion’s biggest night, the looks on the live runways are set to be the biggest showstoppers of the festival. With a catwalk running through Pitt Street Mall, Vogue and American Express will be showcasing the season’s best looks from the hottest Australian brands. Highlighting all the best trends, expect bold and bright looks from Zara, L’Idée Woman and Maje who are playing with hot pinks and electric blues and structured preppy looks from Camilla and Marc, Country Road, Decjuba and Sandro.

Plus, for the first time ever, small fashion brands will take centre stage thanks to the Shop Small Runway presented by Vogue Australia. Be among the first to catch a glimpse of the ‘next big thing’ in Australian fashion, with lines from first-time designers and small boutiques finding themselves elevated to the main stage thanks to the American Express Shop Small Program. Models will take to the runway for Shop Small at both 1:30pm and 6pm so make sure you make your way down to the hub to check out the show! 

Keen to take the look from the runway to the street? The runways will be shoppable from Friday 21^st October with Card Members able to score a special offer in-store and online at participating stores until Sunday 23^rd October.

Vogue American Express Fashion’s Night Out: Scavenger Hunt

As if we needed another reason to shop, there will be plenty of activations which will elevate the shopping experience. For example, P.E. Nation will play host to a live DJ and complimentary flutes of Mumm champagne to help you get in the sparkling, spending mood. If you’re not in the mood for activewear, head over to Myer from 12-9pm. You'll be able to enjoy juice from 12-9pm and Mumm Champagne from 3-9pm. (American Express Card Members and one guest can receive one food item and one beverage from any included locations.)
