WAVERTON

GET TO KNOW
THE AREA

Waverton is one charming harbourside locale. A quiet neighbourhood with a village-like ambience, harbour walks, foreshore parks and house-proud residents with homes that have been designed to capture stunning harbour views; and all of this is an easy 10-minute commute to some of Sydney’s vibrant business hubs.

Lifestyle

Leafy streets, water views and plenty of green space, Waverton is one pretty suburb. It’s also very convenient — quiet, laidback and moments from vibrant hubs and prestigious schools.

Tucked away on Sydney’s lower north shore, Waverton’s village-like feel is all-embracing. A sprinkling of cafes with home-style cooking and warm interiors sit along Bay Road, and a set of shops that cater to everyday conveniences are positioned around the train station.

Before the day gets underway, locals get their heart rate up in the generous parks and along the trails and walks that frame the foreshore, stopping to catch their breath at the lookout from Balls Head Reserve. During the day, The Coal Loader becomes a focal point. It's more than a place to spend a leisurely afternoon soaking up harbour views, The Coal Loader is rich in industrial history, and it’s an educational hub of how to live more sustainably.

Although Waverton is predominately residential, up the road is Crows Nest’s vibrant café and small bar culture, and North Sydney is right next door with its business district and prestigious schools. St Leonards medical precinct and growing business centre are also down the road, while a quick 10-minute train ride will have you in the middle of Sydney city.

THE COAL LOADER

An industrial site once used for loading coal has been transformed into an inspiring hub for sustainability. Waterfront bush walks, community gardens, a café and a line-up of programs and events that showcase how to live more sustainably in an urban setting.

SCHOOLS

Reading like a roll call of elite schools, neighbouring North Sydney has some of Sydney’s most sought after public and private schools; Wenona School, Monte Sant’ Angelo Mercy College, Shore School, Marist College, North Sydney Boys, North Sydney Girls, North Sydney Demonstration School and St Mary’s Primary School.
