Totti's is always going to be high on this list. The Merivale star at The Royal has become the go-to destination for a fancy lunch, serving up hand-crafted pasta, meats and classic Italian cocktails in a relaxed eatery, courtyard and bar on Bondi Road.

The front end is built around Italian-style flatbread, cooked to order and accompanied by small plates of local and housemade charcuterie. Drinks are simple, retro-Italian-inspired crowd pleasers, while the wine list focuses on small boutique wineries and organic drops with an Italian twist. But the best part about Totti's? The electric atmosphere is always present.
