The Best City2Surf After-Parties for the Ultimate Sunday Session
Run, don't walk to these epic celebrations. Here's your round-up of the best City2Surf after parties in Bondi this year.
Whether you're a serious runner, walking it, or meeting your mates at the finish line, the City2Surf is one of Sydney's most exciting events.
Held every August, the 14-kilometre fun run from the city to Bondi Beach not only raises money for charities (to date, the event has raised over $55 million for charities in need) but transforms our harbour city into the ultimate party destination.
In our humble opinion, the post-run festivities are just as important as the main event. But with thousands of people streaming into Bondi, booking ahead (for the venues that cater for it) is much wiser. Many also have a first-in-best-dressed policy. If you're heading to Bondi purely for the vibes, we recommend arriving at your preferred venue by 11 a.m. to beat the crowds.
This year, City2Surf will be held on Sunday, August 11th, and Bondi and the surrounding suburbs will host several epic after-parties. Here's our edit of the best 2024 City2Surf after-parties. Pack your running shoes... and your dancing shoes!
The Best 2024 City2Surf After-Parties
North Bondi Fish
From 11 a.m., North Bondi Fish will be hosting an electric finish line party featuring an acoustic duo to welcome runners, loads of delicious food specials, and DJs to really set the mood. If you're a City2Surf participant and you've booked ahead, you'll score free margaritas on the day!
If you've worked up an insatiable appetite after your run, then you're in luck. The menu highlights include the crumbed fish burger with NBF’s signature b-sauce, BBQ skewers like miso sesame glazed salmon, and Queensland King prawn with yuzu butter ($15). Pair it with their Recovarita cocktail with Patron Silver tequila infused with orange peel, orange oleo, lime and seaweed and an orange salt rim and orange wedge for a well-deserved refreshment.
