The joy of trick-or-treating is truly timeless, and there's something so special about the community coming together on the streets to entertain the kids. Each year, the event gets bigger and bigger in Sydney, with decorations and treats appearing in shops well before the big day.
This year, Halloween will fall on Thursday, October 31st. And if you already have eager little gremlins begging you to take them out but are unsure where to go trick-or-treating in Sydney, we've unearthed all the best streets.

Where to Go Trick-or-Treating: Eastern Suburbs
Bondi
Make your way to Hastings Parade in Bondi and prepare to be spooked by cobwebbed houses, fog machines, and dangerously believable stunt coffins. The popular thoroughfare in Bondi is one of the top trick-or-treating spots in Sydney, so it’s best to get there early to nab some sweets before they all run out. Murriverie Road and Avoca Street in Bondi are also well worth a visit.
Bronte
In the beach-side suburb of Bronte, Chesterfield Parade is where it's at. Hundreds of kids clad in their best get-up will descend on the street, and the vibes are always high.
Randwick
Gumara Road, Hendy Avenue and Rainbow, Ellen and Dangar Streets in Randwick are well-known Halloween streets. Here, you will find costume-clad kids going door to door in a bid to find as many lollies as possible. Plenty of sweets will be available, too.
Maroubra
Maroubra’s Edgar Street is known for its impressive Halloween celebrations. Families can enjoy impressive house decorations and a lively atmosphere as kids trick-or-treat through the neighbourhood.
Botany
William Street and Banksia Street in Botany are must-visit spots for trick-or-treating this Halloween. Both streets come alive with festive decorations, and residents are very generous with the treats.

Dulwich Hill
Fairfowl Street in Dulwich Hill is always a good time. Residents embrace the spirit and go to town with the treats and decorations.
Drummoyne
Renwick Street in Drummoyne goes all out every year. The residents close off the street and have a DJ, face painter, and sausage sizzle. Plus, all the houses are decorated, and there are lollies galore.
Annandale
Halloween can get really eerie in this Inner West neighbourhood. Head to Railway Parade and Annandale, Trafalgar and Nelson streets for some seriously cool costume-clad festivities among the locals.

Freshwater
If you're on the Northern Beaches, Freshwater absolutely pops off. The whole suburb embraces the Halloween spirit, especially Wyuna Avenue, Johnson Street, and the area around Soldiers Avenue. Make sure you get there by 3:30pm, though, as it's all wrapped up by 5pm.
Manly
Manly is a hub of Halloween fun; you just have to know where to look. The tree-lined streets on and around Pine Street, Alexander Street and Pacific Parade go to nuts with the lollies and decorations.
Balgowlah Heights
If you want to get into the spooky spirit near Balgowlah Heights, check out Bungaloe Avenue and the surrounding areas. Locals know it as "Halloween Street," and it lives up to its reputation.

Mosman
Grab your jack-o’-lanterns and hit the streets of this harbourside suburb for some Franken-tastic fun. Holt, Spencer and Medusa Streets are the most popular among the young ones (and the young at heart). You’re guaranteed a decent haul by the end of the night if you start spooking from the early evening.
Lindfield
A suburb that has fully embraced all things freaky, Lindfield swarms with trick-or-treaters on Halloween. Starting around 5pm, the action is centred on Middle Harbour Road and the surrounding avenues. Adelaide Avenue in East Lindfield is also worth a visit.
Wahroonga
Wahroonga’s Grosvenor, Braeside, Kintore and Cleveland streets are set to embrace the spooktacular spirit this Halloween. Make the most of the haunted homes and make sure to bring a big bucket for the treats that will quickly pile up. If you’ve got the energy to go further, Burns Road and Water Street have been known to participate in the freaky festivities.
St Ives and St Ives Chase
One of the most family-friendly suburbs on the North Shore is a big hit on Halloween. Festivities will be well and truly underway in St Ives and St Ives Chase, with decorations, creepy crawlies, eerie colours, and plenty of lollies to go around. The Halloween high is usually centred on Warrimoo and Gould Avenue in St Ives Chase, and Hayle Street, Athena Avenue, and Woodbury Road in St Ives.

Engadine
Warilda Avenue in Engadine is a must-visit for Halloween. One house in particular stands out with what is arguably the best Halloween display in the Shire! The entire street embraces the spooky season, making it a great spot to put on your list.
Caringbah
Caringbah is a Halloween haven, especially on Cawarra Road, Castelnau Street, Jellicoe Street, Frobisher Avenue, and Pacific Street. These streets are known for their creative decorations and candy-filled fun.

Kellyville Ridge
Filante Street in Sydney's northwest is one of the most popular places to trick-or-treat. The residents take their duties very seriously, spending thousands on lollies and decorations. Every year, the crowd gets bigger and bigger (we're talking up to six thousand people!), so get there early and prepare to be blown away.
Lalor Park
Ennis Place in Lalor Park doesn't skimp on the decorations and sweet treats. The surrounding streets also get into the spook spirit!

Campbeltown
Campbelltown’s Bellinger Road and Seddon Place are Halloween favourites, with both streets going above and beyond for trick-or-treaters. Residents love to decorate their homes with spooky displays, and there’s no shortage of lollies.
Quakers Hill
Quakers Hill is another top spot in Western Sydney, with Treetop Circuit and the nearby streets drawing large crowds.
